Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 Delayed Due To Bug Fixes

The release of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 has been delayed. Season 2 will now premiere on February 14, two weeks later than originally planned. The reason for this is to give Sledgehammer Games and the other teams behind Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific more time to fix bugs.

“We feel your frustrations and hear you loud and clear,” a Call of Duty blog post reads. “To date, we’ve deployed a number of dates, but more needs to be done. For this reason, we have decided to reschedule the start of Season Two across Warzone Pacific and Vanguard to February 14. We will use this additional development time to deliver updates, including optimizations to gameplay, game balancing (including weapon and equipment balancing), to fix game stability and bugs, and to ensure an overall level of polish to improve the experience for players across Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare.” 

“Going forward, you can expect to hear from us more often regarding Call of Duty’s state of play,” the blog reads. “Studios remain focused on continuously improving your game experience, and we greatly value our community feedback. More frequent and detailed communication updates will be posted here and across Call of Duty social channels.”

Call of Duty X Attack On Titan Comes To Vanguard And Warzone This Week

The Attack on Titan anime series is coming to an end, and Activision wants to cash in on its popularity. Ten Attack on Titan equipment will be added to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific as part of a bundle that will be released on January 20th. The centerpiece is a Survey Corps costume based on Survey Corps Captain Levi Ackerman, but you'll also get three weapon blueprints (including the Titan Piercer blade), a charm, sticker, insignia, finishing move, and highlight material.

A new character (Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes), her favored submachine gun, and additions to both gameplay and goods in Vanguard's Zombies mode are among the next season improvements. The appropriate updates for Attack on Titan content will be released a week ahead of schedule, on January 12th at midnight Eastern time for Vanguard and January 13th for Warzone.

New Call Of Duty Warzone Map Will Go Live In December [DELAYED]

The new Pacific-themed map for Call of Duty Warzone, officially known as Caldera, will launch on December 2. However, anyone that owns Call of Duty: Vanguard, which releases November 5, before the launch of Season 1 on December 2, will get 24 hours of early access to the new map. Verdansk will no longer b playable on December 1, but those who didn't purchase Vanguard and want to play Warzone specifically on that day will still be able to, they’ll just be launched into Rebirth Island, instead of Caldera. 

Activision Blizzard has detailed what you can expect to find on Caldera when it hits Warzone for everyone on December 2. 

“Lush forests and rocky crags. White sand beaches and mysterious ruins. A dormant volcano that towers over the 200-plus points of interest,” a Call of Duty blog post reads. “A map roughly the size of Verdansk, which it will replace as part of the [Season 1] update, this new map is based on two years of research and listening to the community.” 

Activision Blizzard says your progression from Verdansk will carry over as well, including operators, calling cards, weapons, and more. 

Call of Duty: Vanguard Won’t Eat All Your Disk Space, Maxes Out At 93GB

 This years Call of Duty won't eat up as much console disk space as previous games in the series. Here's how much space you'll need on each console to install Vanguard at launch, including the pre-load:

This marks a significant decrease from last year's Call of Duty installment, Black Ops Cold War, which hit 200GB of required space on PS5 and 250GB on PC, with similar numbers on other platforms. Meanwhile, 2019's Modern Warfare launched at 175GB, while Warzone added an additional 15GB - 22GB, or 80GB - 100GB on its own.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies Is An Exciting Take On The Mode

 Before its November 5th release date, publisher Activision shared a new trailer and blog posts that offer a first look at the game's Zombies mode.

Developed by Treyarch, Vanguard’s Zombies mode ties into the Dark Aether storyline established in Black Ops Cold War. Check out the trailer for gameplay and more. 

Any experience you earn while playing Zombies will count toward Vanguard’s Batte Pass, which also shares progression between multiplayer and Warzone. The mode will also support cross-platform play between different consoles. As mentioned above, Vanguard launches on November 5th. It will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal Event Coming This Week Inside Warzone

The next game in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty:
Vanguard will seemingly be revealed this Thursday, August 19, within Call of Duty: Warzone. Multiple social media users have reported that the PlayStation Store has begun to show advertisements for the reveal, which say an event will take place at 10:30am PT / 1:30pm ET / 6:30pm UK (August 20 at 3:30am AEST).
