Call of Duty Mobile’s Zombie Mode Is Gone For Good On March 25th

Call of Duty: Mobile zombies mode fans be warned. On March 25th, when the game's next update lands, the developer of the title plans to remove the feature.
"We had always mentioned it was limited but with no explicit end-date. We wanted to see the reception, see the feedback, and see how we can potentially shape the mode for the future," developer Timi Studios wrote in a recent community update. "However, the mode just didn't reach the level of quality that we desire."
Additionally, the studio won't release Nacht Der Untoten, the second zombies mode map. However, both may one day make their way back into the game. "We may bring the mode back, with Nacht Der Untoten, once we can make sure it is high enough quality," said Timi.

Zombies Are Everywhere In Call of Duty Black Ops 4 With Operation: Apocalypse Z

Zombies are everywhere in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 with Operation: Apocalypse Z. This operation is a multiplayer-centric content pack that will conjure up game mode similar to the classic Zombies maps of previous games for PlayStation 4 on July 9th and Xbox One and PC on July 16th.
According to Activision, Apocalypse Z will introduce several new maps and game modes that will feature zombie content. There will be a continuation of the Ather Story called "Alpha Omega" and it will allow players to jump in as both the Primis and Ultimis characters for the first time. Gamers will get their hands on new weapons and will be able to operate the combat robot Reaper. The game's battle royale mode, Blackout, will also get a zombie-themed overhaul.
While Apocalypse Z should keep gamers killing zombies for quite some time, it's worth noting that some of the multiplayer maps, including the latest addition to the Zombies storyline, requires The Black Ops Pass. While the pass was available with some versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, gamers can pick one up for an additional $50 from most retailers.

Call of Duty: WWII Gets A Trailer And Release Date + Zombies And Multiplayer Teased

During the reveal event for Call of Duty: WWII, Activision dropped the first official trailer the game. The trailer focuses on a number of shots of soldiers storming of Normandy Beach, a tank fight in a forest, and several shorts of airplanes. The company also announced the release date for the game, November 3. But if you don’t want to wait till then, you can participate in the beta, which is scheduled for sometime later this year. Towards the end of the event,  Sledgehammer dropped a couple of teases about some of the other modes in the game. They confirmed that the game will have a zombies mode with a single screen shot of a reanimated, disfigured soldier (which you can see below).

They also showed a brief snippet of how the multiplayer might look. A shot quickly follows two soldiers up a hill and after peeking over the edge, the camera shows of sea of soldiers, indicating the game may have a more open multiplayer environment. During the presentation, Sledgehammer also hinted at letting players hang out between multiplayer matches. Whether this shot was that between-game lobby. Thoughts ?

Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Final DLC “Salvation” Coming In September

Activision has announced the release date for the final Call of Duty: Black Ops III DLC. Salvation includes 4 multiplayer maps, and the final chapter of the Origins Zombies story. Treyarch says that the Easter Eggs it has been leaving for players since 2008 will come together in the the zombies map “Revelations”.

Here’s the map descriptions for each of the multiplayer maps:
  • Citadel: "Once home to a powerful medieval army, this ancient castle now sits broken and abandoned. Tight corners force close-quarters engagements, while the moat and drawbridge allows for unique player movement opportunities in this mid-sized map. The last trespassers didn’t make it out alive – maybe you’ll have a better shot."
  • Micro: "What’s better than a BBQ on a hot summer day? A miniaturized war zone that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table, that’s what! Navigate this bite-size battlefield for a larger-than-life experience."
  • Outlaw: "Gear up for a showdown in Outlaw; a western-style re-imagining of the fan favorite map Standoff from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. This rough-and-tough medium-sized map brings classic engagements, flanking routes and strategic positions for long and medium ranged combat."
  • Rupture: "The Call of Duty: World at War classic Outskirts is re-imagined as a high-tech facility, designed by a futuristic society desperate to repair the Earth’s atmosphere."
Salvation is available for pre-order now and can be purchased as an individually for $15 or in the season pass for $50. Salvation launches on PlayStation 4 first on September 6. Xbox One and PC will see a release 30 days later (which is October 6, thought that isn’t confirmed).
