ICYMI Call of Duty: Warzone Is Coming To Mobile

The free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone will soon get a mobile version. Following the release of Call of Duty: Mobile in 2019, the forthcoming Warzone will be the second CoD title converted for mobile. Season 2 of Warzone, which was published last month, is most likely still being enjoyed by fans. The new mobile game's release date has yet to be revealed, however games journalist Tom Henderson did remark that the title has already been posted to Playtest Cloud, a mobile game testing site.

Fans of mobile games may expect to see more from the Activision universe in the future. Diablo Immortal's mobile version is currently under development and is scheduled to be released later this year. Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which is slated to be completed in fiscal year 2023, would give it ownership of Activision's massively profitable mobile gaming company.

Pokemon MOBA, Pokemon Unite, Announced For Nintendo Switch And Mobile

The Pokemon Company unveiled a new game in the Pokemon franchise titled Pokemon Unite which will release on both mobile and Nintendo Switch. It resembles strategy tiles such as DOTA and League of Legends. The developers behind the game are Tencent’s TiMi Studios and the game pits teams of five against each other for strategic Pokemon battles. The release date for the game wasn’t revealed, but it was announced to be a free to start title! Check out the trailer below.

“Today during a Pokémon Presents video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, unveiled Pokémon UNITE, a new game for the Nintendo Switch™ system and mobile devices. Pokémon UNITE is being developed in partnership with Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios.
 
Pokémon UNITE is the first strategic Pokémon team battle game. Players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. During these battles, players will cooperate with teammates to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their own Pokémon. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. Pokémon UNITE will be free-to-start.”

Call of Duty Mobile’s Zombie Mode Is Gone For Good On March 25th

Call of Duty: Mobile zombies mode fans be warned.On March 25th, when the game's next update lands, the developer of the title plans to remove the feature.

"We had always mentioned it was limited but with no explicit end-date. We wanted to see the reception, see the feedback, and see how we can potentially shape the mode for the future," developer Timi Studios wrote in a recent community update. "However, the mode just didn't reach the level of quality that we desire."

Additionally, the studio won't release Nacht Der Untoten, the second zombies mode map. However, both may one day make their way back into the game. "We may bring the mode back, with Nacht Der Untoten, once we can make sure it is high enough quality," said Timi.

Mario Kart Tour Delayed, Now Coming In Summer 2019

Nintendo has revealed that Mario Kart Tour, the mobile Mario Kart game, has been delayed. Mario Kart Tour was initially meant to be released this April, but Nintendo has stated that it is now scheduled for the summer. The reason for the delay is simply that the company wants to provide Mario Kart fans with the best experience.

Blizzard Says Overwatch Nintendo Switch Port And Mobile Ports Probably Won’t Happen

It appears that Overwatch is unlikely to make its way onto the Nintendo Switch due to the differences in the hardware. GameSpot managed to speak with Blizzard  and said that the team understands that the Switch is very popular, but they are focussed on supporting the current platforms.

“I think it is one of those things that we constantly evaluate. Where technology is going; where the industry is going. There are challenges in running on the platforms that we’re not already on, otherwise we would probably already be on some of those other platforms. We’ll see where things go. Certainly, there is a huge number of people out there who have Nintendo Switch and mobile phones, but right now, the core development team is focused on supporting the live game.”

Mario Kart Tour Is Coming To Mobile Devices By March 2019

A new mobile title has been announced by Nintendo. Mario Kart Tour is in development, and is said to be released “in the fiscal year ending in March 2019”. This is all Nintendo confirmed about the game. Thoughts ? I think Mario Kart is the prefect game to bring to mobile.

Nintendo To Boost Its Mobile Presence With New Developers

Nintendo’s mobile efforts have been a success so far with consumers and have also been very lucrative for the company. Nintendo plans on capitalizing on this by boosting its mobile presence and also hiring new talent so help with their plans. Here’s what the company is looking to do:

• Nintendo is looking to expand tie-ups with software developers to strengthen its smartphone game lineup
• By collaborating with other software developers in addition to DeNA Co., Nintendo believes it can raise the pace of new titles
• Nintendo isn’t planning to take ownership stakes in its new partners
• Nintendo has apparently talked with GungHo Online Entertainment Inc., but a GungHo spokeswoman denied these talks
• Sales of Animal Crossing titles for 3DS have risen in recent weeks after the introduction Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
• Analysts believe Nintendo will team with Tencent Holdings Ltd. on mobile games in China

WSJ Claiming New Pokemon TCG App Is Coming Soon

Following their recent Legend of Zelda rumor, the Wall Street Journal has claimed that The Pokemon Company is working on a new Pokemon TCG app. . If this is true, the company might be hoping to recreate the popularity of Pokemon GO. Would you play a new TCG app? Nintendo Is Rumored To Be Developing A Zelda Mobile Game

According to The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo is working on The Legend of Zelda for smartphones and tablets. Link’s adventure will follow Animal Crossing which launches later this year. The Zelda title will arrive in 2018 and it’s not clear whether Nintendo will take the paid route like Super Mario Run or alternatively make the game free-to-play with micro transactions like Fire Emblem Heroes. Thoughts ?

Miitomo Getting A Big Update Soon

Miitomo will be receiving a big new update soon which may bring people back to the app. There’s a number of new features including the ability to attach images to any answers and send a customized message when sending out a friend request to someone. We haven’t got a date for the update just yet but it is simply coming soon.

• A “Miifoto Log” feature, where you’ll be able to post Miifotos or images from your device with comments.
• The ability to attach images to your answers.
• The addition of a customizable Bio in your Profile.
• When sending a friend request, you’ll be able to attach a message.
• Wallpaper or flooring will be available for use as backgrounds in Miifotos.
• You’ll be able to select the outfit your Mii character wears when delivering a message.
• Daily items will not include selectable color variations.
• Other various system improvements.

Nintendo Open To Work With Other Mobile Devs

According to Nintendo president Tatsumi, the company would be willing to work with other mobile developers, like DeNA, in the future. Nintendo has a 10% stake in DeNA whilst DeNA purchased 1.24% of Nintendo back in 2015. Kimishima also outlined that we can expect 2-3 mobile games a year going forward.

Nintendo Delays Animal Crossing Mobile

Nintendo has announced that the Animal Crossing mobile game has been delayed. This title was set to release early in the year and is now set for the next fiscal year, which runs from April to March 2018. Nintendo has said it is doing so "to accommodate the releases and operation" of Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile and Super Mario Run on Android. As much as this sucks, it makes sense. Nintendo has a lot on there mobile plate, won’t want to over saturate things straight out of he gate. Thoughts ?

Google Wants To Fix Mobile Sites From Annoying Pop-Ups

If you’ve even been on the internet, then you probably know that pop-ups are annoying and irritating. Sometimes, when you are forced to subscribe before even seeing a word on a website, only to find out that it wasn’t what you were looking for. Google wants to fix this. Starting on January 10th, 2017, Google’s mobile search results will downplay sites with “intrusive” interstitials and pop-ups. It’ll accept content that asks for necessary info or takes up a “reasonable” amount of space (such as the app install banners), but “click to continue” pop-ups and first-party sales pitches won’t get Google’s favor. Hopefully this fixes the issues of pop-ups. Thoughts ?

Miitomo Has Reached 5 Million Downloads On Android

Nintendo’s Miitomo app has surpassed 5 million downloads on Android, according to the app’s page on the Google Play store. This shows that Miitomo is still popular, even though it has been more than a month since the apps release. What do you think of Miitomo ?

There Are Over 10 Million Miitomo Users Worldwide

Nintendo has announced that over 10 million unique users worldwide have signed up for Miitomo. To date, users have shared 20 million Miifotos, and have had more than 300 million conversations. To celebrate, Nintendo will host a 10-day “Celebrating 10 Million Users!” event between April 29 and May 8, 2016. Nintendo has also announced that there next apps will be based on Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing.

Iron Maiden Is Making An RPG

Metal band Iron Maiden has teamed up with Roadhouse Interactive and 50cc Games have teamed  to announce Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast. Roadhouse Interactive, the team behind mobile games like Warhammer 40,000: Carnage and Bike Unchained According to the announcement, it's "an action packed, free 2 play RPG in Iron Maiden’s mythology." Players will take on the role of Eddie, Iron Maiden's mascot. Eddie has multiple forms, each with unique abilities, and he'll be exploring new worlds, traveling through time, and battling characters drawn from Maiden's albums and art. The soundtrack will of course feature songs from throughout the band's catalog, including previously unheard live recordings adapted for Legacy of the Beast. Legacy of the Beast will be out this summer for iOS and Android. It’s interesting to see Iron Maiden be interesting in making a mobile game. My biggest questions are how will it play and what it will look like. If they achieve both those things then they may have a hit on there hands. What do you think ? 

You Can Now Play Final Fantasy VII On iOS

Square Enix has releases Final Fantasy VII for iOS. This release is a port of the PC version of the game, but there are a few minor changes to the title. Leveling up won't be an problem on the mobile version of the game,as the iOS version has a "max stats" command that instantly raises your character's levels. Also Square Enix has decided not to give the game a customized touch friendly menu as it has with some of its other mobile Final Fantasy ports, opting to overlay the screen with a virtual joypad instead. Final Fantasy VII for iOS launches today, but it’s slowly coming out. It seems to only be available in New Zealand at this time, for $19.99 NZD, which is about $13 USD. You Will Soon Be Able To Edit Your Go Pro Footage On The Go

According to TechCrunch, GoPo revealed to investors that they’re developing an app, which will give users the capability to edit footage straight from a phone or tablet. It's in the final testing phase and could be out by the end of summer. GoPro's plans to launch a cloud service that can automatically generate highlight reels. The company has begun testing an early version that can view videos captured not only by GoPro devices, but also by other cameras. It has no editing features yet. The ability to edit footage straight from a phone or tablet sounds great for getting a quick clip out to family and friends. What do you think ?

Borderlands Online Comes To China In 2015

Borderlands, is coming to China, Shanda Games announced today that it is bringing the game to China in the form of Borderlands Online, a free to play version of the title specifically for the Asian country. Borderlands Online will be released on PC and mobile. All that is currently known about the game is that you can choose from 4 character classes Soldier, Hunter, Siren, and Berserker, the games set to come out sometime in 2015.
