Gears Of War 4 Celebrates Year Of The Dog With Horde Event And More

Gears of War 4 is celebrating the Year of the Dog by kicking off a new Horde event with a double XP weekend starting February 16. Pouncers and Juvies will attack in droves against weakened fortifications, players will get a chance to earn some sweet loot, and changes are coming to both how experience points and quitters are handled.

• Double XP is the new standard, meaning the double XP weekend will net you four times the experience you're used to
• The Year of the Dog “Pouncer Madness” Horde event begins February 16
• Daily login rewards starting on February 16
• Destroy all duplicates and create multiples in Card Companion
• Quit time out penalties have been increased while wait times to boot inactive players have been decreased

Microsoft Reveals 8 Xbox One S Holiday Bundles

Microsoft has revealed 8 Xbox One S Holiday Bundles, including 3 different Gears of War 4 options, 3 Battlefield 1 options, a FIFA 17 option and a Minecraft option. The Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Bundle for $449 features a a gritty, battle-weathered custom console and matching controller with a 2TB hard drive, copy of Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition, and loads of extras. The Xbox One S Battlefield 1 Special Edition Bundle $349 USD for features a 1TB military green console with matching stand and controller, as well as a copy of Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, the Hell fighter Pack, Red Baron Pack, Lawrence of Arabia Pack, a new visual appearance of the Behemoths, 5 Battlepacks and 1 month of EA Access. Microsoft Announces 2 New Gears Of War 4 Xbox One S Bundles

Microsoft has unveiled 2 new Gears of War 4 Xbox One S bundles. According to Xbox Wire, the first bundle includes Gears of War 4 and a 1 TB white console. The bundle will be available worldwide October 11 for $350. The second bundle features a 500 GB "deep blue" console that will only be available in the US and Australia for $300. The bundle will be exclusive to Microsoft Stores and GameStop/EB Games when it releases on November 1.

Seagate Offering A Gears Of War 4 External Hard Drive With DLC

Microsoft and Seagate are releasing a Gears of War 4 2 TB drive external hard drive with a design that matchs the upcoming Gears of War Xbox One S and similarly decorated Xbox One Elite Controller. The USB 3.0 drive works with any Xbox One and if you don’t care about the design or the 2 DLC Gear Packs that come with the device, you can find a similar Seagate drive without the Gears logo for about $15 less expensive than the $100 asking price for this model. According to Seagate, the Gears of War 4 drive will ship in October as a GameStop exclusive. 

Gears Of War 4 Is Getting Its Own Themed Xbox One S

Microsoft has revealed a limited edition Gears of War 4 themed Xbox One S. The $449 console includes a 2TB hard drive and comes bundled with Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition and the season pass. The season pass will include the Vintage VIP and Vintage JD gear packs are bundled in, as well. Those that get the Gears of War 4 Xbox One S will get early access to the game on October 7, which is 4 days before its retail release. For those that simply want a new Xbox One S controller, there is a Gears of War 4 edition being sold separately. The JD Fenix Limited Edition controller will is priced at $74.99 and will release on September 13. 

Gears Of War 4 Loot Crate Includes A Lancer Replica

Gears of War is getting its own Loot Crate. The Gears of War 4 limited edition crate is on sale now, and while most of the items included are a surprise, Loot Crate and Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition have revealed one of the items. Each crate will come with a 7-inch replica lancer, hoodie, and glassware. There's also a 2-inch gold lancer pin for anyone that orders before 9 PM Pacific on July 15. The crate will come in 2 different versions. You can get it bundled with a digital version of the game for $130 or without the game for $75. You can sign up for the crate here.
