Rise Of The Tomb Raider Coming To PS4 This October

Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to PS4 this October as the 20 Year Celebration Edition, which includes a some new content. The Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition includes the Rise of the Tomb Raider game, all the released DLC, a new story chapter named Blood Ties (With VR support), online Endurance co-op gameplay, Extreme Survivor difficulty mode, and new weapons, outfits, and expedition cards. Xbox One and PC owners can also get this new content, season pass owners will get it for free. Blood Ties lets players explore Croft Manor to claim ownership from a contested claim by Lara's uncle, with a zombie invasion called Lara's Nightmare at the end. The Endurance co-op, lets 2 people raid tombs as well as craft and survive as long as they can with their resources out in the jungle. Endurance co-op features leaderboards to test your skills against others. Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition releases on PS4 on October 11. 

UPDATE 8/22/16 - Details on the "Blood Ties" DLC have been released. It's set in Croft Manor as Lara's uncle is seeking ownership of the manor, so she must explore the home to find proof that she's the rightful heir. There is also a "Lara's Nightmare" mode set in Croft manor that sees Lara fighting off zombies to protect the home. Check out the trailer below. 

Rise Of The Tomb Raider Arrives On PC At The End Of This Month

PC players won’t have to wait long to play Rise of the Tomb Raider. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 timed exclusive arrives on PC on January 28. The game will be available at 2 price points. The standard version is priced at $59.99. A digital deluxe version that includes the season pass will costs $89.99. The PC version will also support 4K resolution. 

Lara Croft Go On Sale For Rise Of The Tomb Raider Release

The puzzle adaptation of the Lara Croft series is normally priced at $4.99. For a limited time, you can get it for $1.99 to celebrate the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Sony Didn't Know About Tomb Raider's Exclusivity In Advance

When speaking to Eurogamer,  Shuhei Yoshida (President of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment) spoke about the prospect the of Square Enix title coming to PS4. Yoshida said “Tomb Raider being exclusive. It's very interesting the way Phil Spencer said, what we are saying is, in holiday 2015 Tomb Raider is exclusive to Xbox. So it's open to interpretation. But still, we didn't anticipate something like this would happen," he explained. How could we know? They might have to our third-party relations team, but I didn't know. I hope the game will come out eventually on PS4. But how can I tell? Other than that cryptic message by Phil Spencer. If you're a marketing person at Square Enix and projecting your sales for the game, if it doesn't come out on PS4, it must be lots of units that have to be covered by some means."
