Metroid Prime: Federation Force Updated To Version 1.1

Metroid Prime: Federation Force has been updated version 1.1. The update is needed if you wish to play online. The fixes are mainly for the game’s fairly addictive Blast Ball mode. You can check out all the changes below thanks to Nintendo of America.

• Fixed an issue that caused errors to occur when beginning Online Play in Blast Ball.
• Added a count-down timer to the team selection screen in the Online Play mode of Blast Ball.
• During matches in the Online Play mode of Blast Ball, players will be disconnected if they fail to make any inputs for a set amount of time.
• Other adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force Gets A New Story Trailer

A new story trailer for this month’s Nintendo 3DS title Metroid Prime: Federation Force dropped today, showing off gameplay mechanics, enemy types and more.

The campaign set in the Metroid Prime universe sees players take control of a Galactic Federation Force soldier. The player will be sent to various planets to team up with three other Galactic Marines to take on space pirates and other alien creatures.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force,  and its companion title Metroid Prime Blast Ball, will be available for purchase and digital download in the U.S. on August 19, in Japan on August 25 and finally in Europe on September 2. Blast Ball is currently available in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Nintendo’s tag for the game references Samus’ previous time in the Bermuda Galaxy. “Samus may havewon the battle, but the Federation Force‘s war on the Space Pirates is far from over. Enlist with theFederation Force now to join a four–player local or online squad in this co–op sci–fi shooter. Fightalongside teammates in your specialized Mech to eliminate the Space Pirate menace and any threatthat stands in your way.”

Also, select GameStop retailers are hosting an event on August 12th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm local time, where attendees can try out a demo of Metroid Prime: Federation Force. According to GameStop, “at the demo event you can play with up to 4 players to take on a variety of co-op missions in this first-person, sci-fi shooter set in the Metroid universe”.  The demos will be on the New Nintendo 3DS XL system.

Download Metroid Prime: Blast Ball For Free On The Nintendo eShop

Nintendo has released  a Mission Briefing video for Metroid Prime: Federation Force. You can check it out here:

Nintendo also announced that Nintendo 3DS owners who visit the Nintendo eShop can download Blast Ball, the game’s friendly competitive multiplayer mode! Fans can battle it out complete with online support, and even compete with players who own the full game once it launches. In early September, the multiplayer servers will switch over to support the full game only.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force Will Have Amiibo Support

Nintendo of America has announced today that Metroid Prime Federation Force will be launching on August 19th and September 2nd in Europe. What do you think of Metroid Prime Federation Force ? I still don’t know how I feel. 

Nintendo Tries To Get Us Excited For Metroid Prime: Federation Force

During todays Nintendo Direct, Metroid Prime producer Kensuke Tanabe discussed  what we can expected from Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Kensuke Tanabe and the team saw the opportunity to make the conflict between the Galactic Federation and the Space Pirates more than just Samus’ mission. To that end, the Federation Force uses power suits based on her original one.Players will split up a limited number of weapons prior to the match. While there are no classes, loading up on a specific type of gear weather it’s missiles, health packs, etc. can help dictate combat roles. Metroid Prime: Federation Force is set to release in Spring 2016 on for the New 3DS. You can watch the full Nintendo Direct below. I’m not sure how to feel about Federation Force. It looks interesting, but the way that they showed it off at E3 has left a bitter taste in my mouth. What do you think of Metroid Prime: Federation Force ?
