Resident Evil 4 Remake Coming In March 2023 And Resident Evil Village Coming To PSVR 2

Capcom's long-rumored, much-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 is now a reality, and it'll be available on March 24th, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam.

The game will be a remake of the beloved 2005 title, which starred Leon S. Kennedy and the president's daughter, Ashley Graham.

"We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it," a Capcom producer said on the PlayStation Blog. "This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to a modern standard."

Capcom also promised Resident Evil 4 content designed for PlayStation VR 2, Sony's next console VR device. In addition to the old-school remakes, Capcom is working on a PSVR2 version of Resident Evil: Village, the newest Resident Evil game.

Resident Evil 4 VR Releases On Oculus Later This Month

Resident Evil 4 is arguably one of the best games of all time and has been ported to more consoles than almost any other game. But Capcom’s not done rereleasing the title, on October 21 the  survival horror game makes its way to VR. 

Capcom partnered with Oculus Studios and Armature Studio to bring Leon’s journey to VR for the first time. 

In a blog post Oculus said, “Standing or seated, players will enjoy plenty of comfort options. Support for both teleportation and room-scale movement means you can explore the game’s world your way. You’ll still move by using the analog stick, but Armature has added a full upper-body rig on top of Leon’s character to combine his movement with the dual-handed interactivity achieved with Touch controllers. Weapons and items have been re-engineered as physical objects, so you can pick them up and interact with them. Lastly, rather than navigating a menu to swap out weapons, you can grab them off your body.”

Resident Evil 4 VR launches exclusively on Oculus Quest 2 on October 21. 

Resident Evil 4 Remake Rumored To Be In Development

According to online publication VGC, a Resident Evil 4 remake is development. Their sources indicate that the remake could release in 2022. Oaska-based M-Two, the new studio founded by former PlatinumGames head Tatsuya Minami, is reportedly behind the game with Capcom’s internal and external development teams offering their services too.

Resident Evil 5 And 6 Releasing For Switch In October, Physical Package Comes With Resident Evil 4

Capcom has confirmed the release dates for Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 on the Nintendo Switch system. The titles will be available on the eShop on October 29th. There will also be a physical pack which includes Resident Evil 4 on cartridge, but Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be download codes. This collection will retail for $59.99 in North America.

Resident Evil 0, 1, And 4 Coming To The Nintendo Switch eShop In May

Capcom has announced the date when a trio of iconic Resident Evil games will arrive on the Nintendo Switch eShop. You will be able to buy Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 4 on May 21st.

Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, And Resident Evil 4 Coming To Nintendo Switch In 2019

Capcom has announced a trio of Resident Evil games are coming to the Nintendo Switch. The games we are getting on the system are Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4. These games will come to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. The company promises to share more information soon.

Resident Evil 4 Coming To PS4 And Xbox One In August

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 30. This version of RE 4 will include all the bonus content that was added for later releases including the Ada Wong missions and expanded Mercenaries mode. 

Resident Evil 4, 5, And 6 Coming Soon To PS4 And Xbox One

Capcom has announced via a trailer that Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year. Each game will cost $20 and the first to be released will be Resident Evil 6 on March 29. Resident Evil 6 release will also include all the additional post-launch content when the game original released. Resident Evil 5 will be coming this summer while Resident Evil 4 will release in the fall.  

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition Is Coming To Wii U

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is coming to Wii U via the Nintendo eShop. The game will be available in North American on February 4, the game is already available in Europe. No pricing has been announced, but I believe it will be $20 as that is the usually pricing. What do you think of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition coming to Wii U ?
