Samsung’s Gear S3 Features Better GPS And LTE

Samsungs new Gear S3 retains the circular design of the S2 model, but is slightly larger. Similar to the S2, the outer ring of the watch face rotates to let you scroll through notifications and apps. Interface improvements include the ability to accept or reject calls with the ring rather than a swipe of the screen. The S3 will come in 3 models. One has LTE cellular capabilities, allowing people to make calls, receive notifications and check weather without a companion phone nearby. A data plan costs extra. The other 2 models lack LTE and differ in style. Samsung said prices will be announced closer to the devices’ availability later in the year. All of the S3 models will have GPS. Although GPS tends to drain battery quickly, Samsung expects at least 3 days of battery life in the S3. The S3 also comes with expanded ability to make payments at stores through Samsung Pay. The permanent price cut lowers the starting prices of these models to $149.99 and $199.99, respectively and makes them more competitive and affordable against other smartwatches. Samsung Is Now Offering An 18-Karat Rose Gold And Platinum Gear S2

Samsung now has a competitor to the Apple Watch Edition. Samsung added an 18-karat rose gold and platinum Gear S2 Classic options to its smartwatch lineup, and they’ll cost you around $9,500 less than the Apple Watch Edition. Samsung’s “Gear S2 Classic New Edition” will be the first to support Samsung Pay over NFC. Each Gear S2 Classic Edition will cost you $520. But he’s the catch, unlike the gold Apple Watch Edition, Samsung’s Gear S2 isn’t made out of solid gold. Instead, both the 18-karat rose gold and platinum models are actually stainless steel watches that have been plated, which is why they’re a lot cheaper. What do you think of Samsung doing this ? It seems interesting but I don’t really see the point, just give me different colors like Blue, Red, Pink, etc.

Fitbit Steps Up Its Smartwatch Game With The Blaze

Fitbit is stepping up there game to take on other smart watches like the Apple Watch and Android Wear with a brand new fitness tracker called Blaze. Blaze has a curved glass display that sits nestled in a metal case. It does everything you expect a Fitbit tracker to do, including step counting, heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking. Blaze also has the ability to automatically detect when you begin a workout, and thanks to its larger display, it can also provide you with notifications for text messages, calls, and calendar. The Blaze doesn’t have its own GPS, and relies on your smartphone for that. But it is available with elastomer, leather, and high-end stainless steel bands that are priced at $30, $100, and $130 respectively. Blaze comes with an elastomer strap as standard in either black, plum, or blue for $200.  Do you think the Blaze is good competition for the Android Wear  and Apple Watch ? 

The Rufus Cuff Is The Tablet You Can Wear On Your Wrist

The tablet on your wrist is finally here. The Rufus Cuff, features a 3.2-inch screen, a TI Cortex A9 processor, front-facing camera for pictures and video, GPS, WiFi a 1,175mAh battery and is powered by Android Kit Kat. According to Gabe Grifoni, co-founder and CEO of Rufus Labs, "It's not just a glorified notification center, we eventually see everyone ditching their phones,"he told USA Today.”This will replace the need for smartphones, wallets, watches, fitness trackers, everything." He may be over feeling the Rufus Cuff, but you can't blame him for being confident. You can pre-order the Rufus Cuff for $249 and up, depending if you pick the 16, 32 or 64GB model. Samsung Teased The Samsung Gear S2

Today at their Unpacked event, Samsung showed off a new Gear S2 smartwatch. This watch has a unique round watch face, metal body and new user interface. All that was seen was a quick glimpse of the watch face, but Samsung promised the Gear S2 would get a full reveal at IFA next month in Berlin. Microsoft To Release A Smartwatch Soon

The watch is reported to have health monitoring capabilities such as a heart rate tracker along with the ability to work across different mobile platforms. Also it looks like you apparently won't have to charge it very often as the report suggest a single charge will last for more than two days. Its still unknown what Microsoft's rumored Smartwatch will be called or what it will cost. Along with all of this we don’t know when the Smartwatch we be released, either some time in 2014 or in early 2015.
