Ubisoft Reveals The Division 2, Full Reveal Coming At E3 2018

Ubisoft has revealed The Division 2, with plans to show the game at E3 this year.

“We're thrilled to announce that we are working on Tom Clancy's The Division 2, and that development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest. The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that enables us to realize our ambitions for the sequel, but more importantly, we're also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right.”

The press release also revealed plans for extended support for the original game, including Xbox One enhancement to support 4K, two new global events, and more legendary difficulty missions. Ubisoft previously patched the PS4 version to support the increased hardware performance of the PS4 Pro. More news to come at E3 2018. 

You Can Play The Division For Free This Weekend

Ubisoft's open world shooter, The Division, will be free to play this weekend on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, starting tomorrow. On consoles, you can play for free from May 4 at 12:01AM PDT to May 7 at 11:59 PM PDT. As for PC, you can play free from May 4 at 10 AM PDT to May 7 at 1PM PDT. You can also buy The Division at a discounted price of up to 65% off. The offer is valid until May 15 on all platforms, and the progress you made will carry over to the full game.

Play The Division For Free This Weekend For PC

Ubisoft has announced PC players can play The Division for free this weekend. From December 15 at 10AM PST to December 18 at 1PM PST, you can check out the full core game and all of its additional content. Should you decide you want to purchase the full version, all of your progress will carry over.

The Division’s Next 2 DLCs Have Been Delayed

Ubisoft has announced that 2 upcoming paid DLC’s for The Division have been delayed. The Division developer Massive is working on feature and gameplay improvements that will happen before the DLC is released. The 3rd paid DLC, Survival, was supposed to release in the Summer. Instead, Massive is taking the time to work on patch 1.4, which it expects will be out in October. That update will include bug patches and systems improvements. The final paid DLC, Last Stand, will now release in early 2017 (It was originally scheduled for this winter).

The Division is setting records for Ubisoft. It has  out sold every other game in there history in regard to first day sales. The Division trails only Destiny and joins Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed at the top of the new franchise launch sales list. The Division also set a digital game sales records for the company. Is The Division Getting An Open Beta Later This Month ?

According to an image form Xbox Italy, an unannounced open beta test for Tom Clancy's The Division could be coming later this month. The image states that an open beta will run from February 16 to February 21. Xbox One players will get an additional 24 hours to try out the game. Ubisoft has yet to confirm if an open beta is coming soon, though the evidence does seem legit. As usually we’ll have to play the waiting game. UPDATE:2/10/16 - Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's The Division will receive an Open Beta from February 19-21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Xbox One players will have an exclusive access on February 18, and will include a new story mission in addition to the content featured in the previous Closed Beta.

The Division Beta Is Taking Place At The End Of The Month

The Division closed beta for Xbox One will begin on January 28. For PlayStation 4 and PC players the closed beta will begin a day later on January 29. The closed beta will end for everyone on January 31, the full game will  launch on March 8. If you’re interested in participating in the test period this month, you’ll need a code. The Division Beta Delayed, Closed Alpha On Xbox One This Month

Ubisoft has delayed The Division beta, testing will now happen in early 2016 on all platforms. If you pre-ordered the game on Xbox One, you'll still be able to get into the closed alpha this month. The test begins on December 9 at 1 AM Pacific / 4 AM Eastern. It runs until December 12 at 12 AM Pacific / 3 AM Eastern. All regions except Japan and China can participate. The closed alpha will take 24 GB for the download. The Division is set to release on March 8 for PlayStation 4,  Xbox One and PC.

Sign Up For The Division Beta Now

Ubisoft has opened a waiting list for players who want to be some of the first to play The Division beta when it first launches on Xbox One in December. The first beta will be a timed exclusive for Microsoft's home console, with PC and PlayStation 4 betas to be available in ”early 2016". Ubisoft has warned that there are a limited number of access codes available for the 3 system betas. In order to guarantee a spot on any platform, customers will need to pre-order the game. You can sign up for the beta here. The Division is set for a  March 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
