The 2021 Tokyo Game Show kicks off on September 30. Presentations from Xbox, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Capcom, Konami, miHoYo, and more will livestreamed nearly every hour. You can visit the event’s website for full descriptions of each event, but here’s the rundown of what will be shown and when.

Tokyo Game Show 2020 Will Now Take Place As An Online Event

The organizers behide the Tokyo Game Show have announced that TGS 2020 will now be a digital event, saying that “Tokyo Game Show 2020, scheduled to be held from September 24  to 27, is now planned to take place online. due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on a global scale and the situation remains unpredictable in Japan as well, the organizer and the co-organizers have reached this decision after a long consideration to place the utmost priority on the health and safety of visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders”. 

Kingdom Hearts: VR Experience Coming To PSVR This Holiday Season

During Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts: VR Experience, a free 10-minute interactive video for PSVR. VR Experience is coming out this holiday season and covers various moments from the franchise.

Monster Hunter: World Gets A Release Date And Fancy Limited Edition PS4 Pro

At the Sony Press Conference at the Tokyo Game Show 2017, the release date for Monster Hunter World was revealed, which is January 26, 2018. A collector's edition was also announced, it includes a monster figurine, soundtrack, and more. A limited edition PS4 Pro Monster Hunter: World themed console and controller was also shown.

Date Set For Tokyo Game Show PlayStation Press Conference

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will hold its Tokyo Game Show press conference in Japan on Tuesday, September 19. According to Sony's announcement on the Japanese PlayStation Blog, the conference will begin on September 19 at 4pm JST (12am PT/3am ET/8am UK/5pm AET). For those unable to attend the conference, Sony will also stream the event live here. Tokyo Game Show 2017 kicks off with 2 business days from September 22-23, which will be followed by 2 days for the general public from September 23-24.

Square Enix Revealing A New Action Game At TGS

Square Enix is teasing a new action game that will be announced at 1pm JST on Thursday September 15, 2016 (September 14 at 9pm PST / 2pm CET) on Square Enix's main stage at TGS. No other info was given. We’ll have to wait and see what Square Enix has in store. Thoughts ?

Capcom Announces Their Tokyo Game Show Lineup

Capcom has announced there lineup of games for Tokyo Game Show. Tokyo Game Show 2016 runs September 15th to 18th. Here’s the line up:

• Monster Hunter Spirits (Arcade) – Playable
• Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream – Visit the theater booth to see the opening movie and a special video you won’t see elsewhere.
• Resident Evil 7: biohazard (PS4, PSVR, XBO, PC) – Playable (PS4, PSVR), Stage Event, Live Stream – The latest demo will make its first debut in Japan.
• Toraware no Palm (iOS, Android) – Playable, Stage Event

PS4 Neo Rumored To Be Revealed In September

According to Gameblog and VICE Gaming, Sony is rumored to hold a September showcase event in New York to show off the PS4 NEO. It's also believed that finalized development kits will be sent out around this time. If this report is true then Sony could reveal the system at the beginning of September and showcase moe games during Tokyo Game Show later in the month. What do you think ? 

PlayStation VR To Be The Same Price As A New Gaming Platform

Sony's virtual reality headset, PlayStation VR, will apparently be priced as a new gaming platform, according to Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House in an interview with Bloomberg. "VR rewrites the rule book on how you can create games. You’re seeing a large amount of interest and work happening among smaller teams, because it’s possible to create something in VR that is very simple but still very magical." PlayStation VR is set to release within the first half of 2016. So are we talking $300 to $400 for PlayStation VR ? What do you think of that idea ? Note I’m just taking a guess and that is not the confirmed price point. 

Persona 5 Delayed To Summer 2016

Persona 5 has been delayed to summer 2016 in Japan. Developer Atlus released a Tokyo Game Show trailer today, and in it the the new launch window was revealed. You can watch the trailer below. Persona 5 is set to come out in summer 2016 on PS4 and PS3.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force Coming Out For PS Vita This Winter

During Sonys TGS 2015 conference Bandai Namco announced that the latest Gundam game, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force for the PlayStation Vita. The game will features 2v2 battles, an original mode that will have players pick 6 Mobile Suits to be part of your team. Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force will release for Japan in the winter for PlayStation Vita.

Sony Renames Project Morpheus And The PS4 Gets A Price Cut In Japan

At Sonys TGS 2015 conference Sony announced that Project Morpheus will now be known as PlayStation VR. Sony's virtual reality headset still doesn’t have a price point, but several virtual reality projects were shown off in a new trailer with the name announcement. This included The Playroom VR, Cyber Danganronpa, Hatsune Miku, Tekken 7, Summer Lesson, Final Fantasy and more (You can see in the image or video below). Also announces was that the PlayStation 4 will receive a price drop in Japan. The price before the drop was ¥39,980 and the new price is  ¥34,980 or $292.79 USD, which make for about a $50 price cut. What do you think about Sony’s new name for Project Morpheus ?

Sony Announces New Colored Faceplates And Controllers

At Sonys TGS 2015 conference Sony announced 9 new HDD covers and 4 new controller colors for the PS4. The 9 new faceplates will vary in color and will launch on November 6 for ¥2,500 or $21 and will only be available through Sony stores. Color variations will include red, yellow, pink, purple, gold, silver and much more. The faceplates are available for pre-order started today, except gold and silver. The 4 new controller colors include gold, silver, steel black and crystal. A limited number of the gold, silver and black will be available on November 6 and crystal will launch on December 3. Currently only the gold and silver controllers have been announced for Europe, well updated this story if we get anymore info. 

New Bloodborne Expansion Coming In November

At Sonys TGS 2015 conference Sony announced Bloodborne: The Old Hunters expansion along with a trailer. The trailer showcased some  new environments and weapons. Bloodborne: The Old Hunters is set to be released on November 24 and a new physical edition of Bloodborne that comes with The Old Hunters will come out sometime in December.

Gravity Rush Remastered And A Sequel Are Coming To PS4

During Sonys TGS 2015 conference Sony announced that a sequel to Gravity Rush is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2016.The original Gravity Daze will also be coming to PlayStation 4, releasing on December 10 in Japan,  February 9 in North America and February 10 in Europe. 

Square Enix Announces Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue

At Sonys TGS 2015 conference Square Enix has announced Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue for PlayStation 4. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will contain a HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, Unchained X called Back Cover and Birth by Sleep 0.2 - A Fragmentary Passage -, which is a completely new part of the story taking place after the events of the original Birth by Sleep. The first official trailer for the game will be shown on September 17. 

Capcom Announces Umbrella Corps.

At Sonys TGS 2015 conference Capcom has announced Umbrella Corps, a very ambitious shooter set in the world of Resident Evil. The debut trailer featured players taking on hordes of zombies in various ways. Umbrella Corps is coming to PS4 and PC in early 2016 for $30 and will feature quick matches in environments from different Resident Evil games.

PS4 VR Headset Almost Ready For Release

Sony has said to have completed 85 % of the work to release the PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus. PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida spoke with The Wall Street Journal at the Tokyo Game Show this week in Japan. Yoshida did not say what the remaining 15 % of Morpheus development will require. Yoshida did say the hardware itself has areas we can improve upon to bring it to an even higher level. He also said previously that Sony will not release Morpheus until there is a sufficient software lineup in place. Yoshida mentioned that the target for Morpheus will be PS4 owners, Sony sees VR overall as a technology that could have broad applications, in markets outside of games. This broad appeal could in lead to a rise in PS4 sales. "We are hoping that once we introduce Project Morpheus to the market, the attractiveness of PS4 will increase and the PS4 could be received by many more people who are not necessarily core gamers" Yoshida said. Sony’s VR headset Project Morpheus (still a working title) doesn’t have a release date at this time.
