Rerelease Villager Amiibo Looks A Little Different

Nintendo will be releasing a second run of the Villager amiibo for those in Japan, and the first images of the reprinted figurine have surfaced online. According to the photos, the new rendition of the Villager has more rounded, lower-set eyes. You can compare the two below. Do you like the new look? Should they have kept the old design ?

Nintendo To Discontinue Certain Amiibo Figures

If you have any interest in Amiibo figures, you might want to get them while you still can. Nintendo has officially discontinued Marth, Wii Fit Trainer & Villager Amibos.” “We will aim for certain amiibo to always be available,” These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Due to shelf space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment" a Nintendo representative said. Nintendo’s Amiibo Figures Available for Pre-Order

The first set of Nintendo’s Amiibo figures are said to interact initially with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U when it releases later this year. The Amiibos transfer information using NFC (Near field communication) similar to Disney Infinity of Skylanders characters. The Wii U has an NFC reader built into the game pad, for those who don’t know it’s the little rectangle in the left bottom corner of the game pad. Besides Super Smash Bros. the Amiibo’s are said to work with Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad : Treasure tracker,Yoshi’s Woolly World and Mario Party 10. Each figure will cost $13 USD, The first set of characters include.

Zelda, F-Zero And Animal Crossing Coming To Mario Kart 8 In New DLC

Mario Kart 8 is getting some cool downloadable content in a few months. New characters, tracks, and karts will be added to the game featuring content from other Nintendo franchises, including The Legend of Zelda, F-Zero, and Animal Crossing.The DLC will come in two packs  including 3 new characters, 4 new vehicles and 8 old and new courses. A few of the new tracks will be set in Zelda and Animal Crossing locations. While the Wario's Gold Mine level from Mario Kart Wi makes a return. The first DLC pack known as The Legend of Zelda pack is coming this November. It will include Link, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach as characters. The DLC will also include the Blue Falcon from F-Zero as a drivable kart along with three additional unrevealed karts. The second pack known  as the Animal Crossing pack is coming in May 2015. The DLC pack will include the Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser. Nintendo did not reveal karts for this second pack. If you buy both packs, which will be available individually for 7.00 GBP or together in a bundle, you'll also get eight different colors for Yoshi and eight different colors for Shy Guy.
