Pokemon And Funko Announce “A Day with Pikachu” Line

The Pokémon Company International and Funko, Inc. have announced a continuation of their partnership and licensing agreement to create “A Day with Pikachu,” a brand-new series of 12 Pokémon figures by Funko. The new collection will be available on PokemonCenter.com, the premier destination for official Pokémon merchandise in the US.

Each figure from the “A Day with Pikachu” line will depict the iconic Pokémon Pikachu celebrating a different season or holiday, with one new figure arriving every month. The first figure will release February 13, 2019, and features Pikachu holding a Luck Incense. Each figure will also come with an insert showing a silhouette sneak peek of the Pikachu figures scheduled for release in the coming months.

“We’re excited to team up with Funko once again to deliver more beloved Pokémon characters to our fans,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “Funko’s distinct, stylized aesthetic makes them the perfect partner to introduce an expanded range of figures that will delight both the Pokémon and Funko communities.”

In addition, as part of their ongoing partnership, The Pokémon Company International and Funko, Inc., will deliver an expanded line of Funko Pop! figures, following a successful collaboration last year that brought the first-ever Funko Pop! Pokémon figure featuring Pikachu.

Releasing on Pokémon Day on February 27, 2019, the next Funko Pop! Pokémon figure showcases a 4-inch vinyl version of Bulbasaur, a favorite character from the popular video game franchise. Additional Funko Pop! Pokémon figures are expected to launch in the future.

Nintendo, Creatures Co., Ltd. & Game Freak Applied For New Trademarks For Pokemon & Pikachu

Nintendo, Creatures Co., Ltd. and Game Freak have filed some new trademark applications for Pokemon and Pikachu. Apparently, these trademarks will be used for “classification of goods and services and designated goods or designated services” and “toys, dolls and entertainment equipment”. It doesn’t seem to be directly related to the development of video games.

Pokemon Lets GO! Pikachu And Pokemon Let’s GO! Eevee Rumored To Be Pokemon Switch Titles

A logo has surfaced online purporting to be for Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch. The names of the two games are Pokemon Let’s GO! Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s GO! Eevee. Here’s everything you need to know:

New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition Launches On January 26th

On Jan. 26, an adorable New Nintendo 2DS XL system featuring Pikachu’s iconic face launches in stores at a suggested retail price of $159.99. The New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition system is just as electric as the Pokémon itself, with an eye-catching yellow design featuring a stylized close-up of Pikachu’s face. This special edition system is a must-have for Pokémon fans! As with all Nintendo 2DS systems, the New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition system plays Nintendo 3DSgames in 2D.

In this new adventure, players team up with a witty, tough-talking Pikachu to uncover clues, solve mysteries and encounter familiar faces from the Pokémon world. For the first time in a video game, this Pikachu can communicate with the player. With the help of Pikachu’s surprising voice, players can interact with other Pokémon in a whole new way as they embark on an adventure through the streets of Ryme City.

Also launching on March 23 is a special edition Detective Pikachu amiibo figure. This extra-large amiibo can unlock cutscenes if tapped in the Detective Pikachu game, revealing a combination of hilarious content that might also provide a hint. This same content can be accessed in the game without the amiibo, but tapping the amiibo will allow players to unlock content more quickly. The Detective Pikachu amiibo figure will be available at a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Fans who can’t get enough Pokémon can also download the classic 2D Game Boy Color game Pokémon Crystal when it launches in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS on Jan. 26 for only $9.99. The game, an expanded version of the popular Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver games, was the first in the Pokémon franchise to allow players to choose between a boy or girl playable character, and was the first game to introduce animations during Pokémon battles. The Nintendo 3DS version of the game is updated with wireless battling and trading, and is compatible with the Pokémon Bank app (annual service charge applies). Pokémon Crystal is now available for pre-purchase in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS.

Detective Pikachu Is Getting An Amiibo

We’ve finally received news that Detective Pikachu is coming to the west on the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be coming on March 23rd in Japan, North America, and Europe. Here’s the information direct from Serebii:

The full retail copy of Detective Pikachu has been announced for Japan. This game is coming out on March 23rd 2018 and contains the first game, released in 2016. It comes in a full retail package, but on the eShop you get a discount if you own the first game. In addition to it, a special Detective Pikachu amiibo is also launching on March 23rd

Detective Pikachu Is Scheduled To Release In 2019

According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has given Detective Pikachu a release date of May 10th, 2019. There was no news on any cast additions, but fans now know exactly how long the wait will be before the movie releases.

Ryan Reynolds Will Be Playing Pikachu In The Detective Pikachu Movie

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Reynolds will be playing Pikachu in Detrctive Pikachu. Reynolds is most known for playing Deadpool the 2016 film. Detective Pikachu is planned to begin filming in London sometime in mid-January.

Starting on September 19th, you can get ONE special cap Pikachu. You can claim your cap by visiting the link here and it’s all dependent on when you apply for the cap which one you will get. Here’s the dates and which cap you’ll get for that date:

Ash Hat Pikachu Distribution Revealed

The latest edition of Japanese publication CoroCoro has leaked onto the internet and with it comes news regarding Ash Hat Pikachu. The Pokémon with the accessory will be distributed at the upcoming movie if you pre-book your tickets. Serebii reports that you will get one Serial Code that comes with the special Pikashumium Z Z-Crystal which activates its special Z-Move, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt.

• The original Cap can be obtained from April 15th to May 1st and then July 19th to July 31st.
• Hoenn Cap from May 3rd through May 15th then again August 2nd through August 14th.
• Sinnoh Cap from May 17th to May 29th and then on August 16th through August 28th.
• From May 31st through June 12th you can get the Unova Cap, and then on August 30th through September 11th.
• From June 14th through June 26th you can get the Kalos Cap, and then September 13th through 25th.
• From June 28th to July 17th you can get the Alola Cap Pikachu, and then September 27th through October 9th.

A Pikachu Yellow New 3DS XL Is Coming In February

Nintendo has announced a New 3DS XL model that features

Pikachu on the cover.  Since the special edition handheld is a New 3DS XL model, it includes improved head-tracking for 3D, an added C-stick nub, and better battery life. However, it should be noted that the New 3DS models do not include a charging cable. The Pikachu Yellow New 3DS XL hits stores on February 24.

The Pokemon Company Announces Detective Pikachu

Nintendo has announced Detective Pikachu. The trailer for the game shows Pikachu in a detective hat going around a city with his human partner (you) looking for clues. Nintendo calls the game a “cinematic adventure.” You”ll teams up with Detective Pikachu for a Sherlock Holmes-style story, filled with puzzles and mysteries. You can watch the trailer below for more details. Detective Pikachu comes to Japan on 3DSs on February 3. No word on when or if the game will come to other territories.  

Nintendo Reveals The Top Selling Amiibo’s

During today's investor briefing, Nintendo revealed which characters have been the best selling in its popular Amiibo lineup. While Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Marth were perhaps the most sought after, it was Link, Mario, and Pikachu who sold the most units in North America. Link has also been the most popular Amiibo in Japan and Europe, while Mario holds the number 1 spot  in Australia. Pikachu And Others Join Pokken Tournament

Bandai Namco is finally giving us more info on Pokken Tournament. New characters have been revealed along with new mechanics that give the game more of a Pokemon feel than was shown in the reveal footage. The new characters are Pikachu, Gardevoir, and Suicine. Pokken Tournament will feature mid match ultra states that unlock powerful moves and partner characters that can be called into battle for brief appearances. Nintendo and Loot Crate Amiibo Details Revealed

Nintendo has revealed details on the pricing and character info on there deal with Loot Crate. 2 payment options are available. You can choose to pay $50 a week plus $5 shipping and handling, which comes to $165 total. You can also can get a $10 discount by paying $140 plus $15 shipping and handling. Amiibo figures will sell at retailers for $13, so you're not really getting a discount. The first set of characters from Loot Crate will ship on November 20 and includes Mario,DK, Kirby and Pikachu. New Amiibo characters will be rolling out in waves over the coming months, but Loot Crate has not yet announced whether they'll continue the service past the initial offering of 10 characters. Nintendo’s Amiibo Figures Available for Pre-Order

The first set of Nintendo’s Amiibo figures are said to interact initially with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U when it releases later this year. The Amiibos transfer information using NFC (Near field communication) similar to Disney Infinity of Skylanders characters. The Wii U has an NFC reader built into the game pad, for those who don’t know it’s the little rectangle in the left bottom corner of the game pad. Besides Super Smash Bros. the Amiibo’s are said to work with Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad : Treasure tracker,Yoshi’s Woolly World and Mario Party 10. Each figure will cost $13 USD, The first set of characters include.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Online Coming Soon To iOS

At the 2014 Pokemon World Championships it has been revealed that the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online will be ported to iOS. While the game is still in development, a Nintendo representative has said that the game will be released later in the year. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online is an online simulator for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was first released online on March 24, 2011, as an in browser game.
