Nintendo Announces Galaxy Themed New 3DS XL

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has announced a new 3DS design via a short video. The new design for the New 3DS XL features a starry, galaxy-themed cover. The Galaxy Style 3DS will be arriving in stores later this week for $199.99.

2 New Pokemon New 3DS XL’s Are Coming To Japan [UPDATE] Theme Added

2 new Pokemon themed New Nintendo 3DS XL consoles are coming to Japan in November. The yellow New Nintendo 3DS XL features Pikachu and the black one features the new Legendaries Lunala and Solgaleo. These new systems will be available for 20,304 yen on November 18th. It such be noted that they won’t come pre bundled with Pokemon Sun or Moon.

UPDATE 7/20/16 - On top of the 3DS XL that features Sun and Moon Legendaries, Lunala and Solgaleo, Japan will also be getting two 3DS Pokemon themes that withe the system. 

UPDATE 9/13/16 - The Pokemon Sun & Moon New 3DS XL (Solgaleo Lunala Black Edition) will be available to purchase on in the US on October 28 for $199. 

2 New Bright Colored 3DS XL’s Are Coming To Japan

 2 new bright colored New Nintendo 3DS XL’s will son be available for Japanese gamers. The new colors are Lime X Black and Pink X White and will be available for purchase on June 9th. What do you think of these new 3DS XL colors ?

Why The Regular “New” 3DS Isn’t Available In The US

When Nintendo announced that the Ne 3DS XL would be coming to the United States, but not the smaller sized New 3DS, some wondered why that happened. Nintendo of America senior manager Damon Baker has given an explanation. "We're a different market," And now we have clear differentiation between those 3 systems. Before, there was a very limited difference between the 3DS and 3DS XL, other than size. It was the same resolution, same functionality, now, there's the 2DS, 3DS, and New 3DS XL, all of which have their own functionality and features." The different price points give it a clear message for consumers. The core audience, we weren't going to win with them on that decision. But we had to think about expanding the user base, we had to be able to market it and make it easy to pick up for consumers." While the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL feature the same technical specifications, the regular-sized model supports custom faceplates, meaning gamers in the US will miss out on that feature. Baker admitted that the faceplates are "super cool," but not enough of a reason to bring the model to the US.” What do you think of this reason ? System Update 9.3 Now Available For The 3DS

• A Shuffle Favorites feature has been added under Change Theme in HOME Menu Settings. Users can choose multiple themes and have their theme change when the system is left in Sleep Mode from the HOME Menu or turned on after being off
• Users can now capture screenshots with both the upper and lower screens included
• Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

Nintendo 3DS XL To Be Discontinued In Japan

The Nintendo 3DS XL (Known as the 3DS LL in Japan) will soon end production in Japan. The line is being discontinued in Japan following the release of the “new” 3DS LL. News of the handheld's discontinuation came from Nintendo's website, where the page for the 3DS LL has the notification, ending production soon. This is not surprising as the regular sized 3DS sells better then the 3DS LL in Japan.

The playable demo of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire comes out today, but heres the catch to download it, you'll need to first obtain a code to download the Special Demo Version of the game through one of the ways listed below. Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Coming Next Week

Next week on October 21 certain players can play a demo for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I say certain players because This demo won't be freely available on the eShop, instead you'll need a special code. A possible way to guarantee yourself a code is to have a free Pokemon Trainer Club account and opt to be on the mailing list for the Pokemon Trainer Club Newsletter. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be release of the Nintendo 3DS on November 21 in North America and November 28 in Europe.

New 3DS and 3DS XL Announced With New Buttons

Nintendo revealed new designs for the 3DS and 3DS XL featuring an additional directional button, trigger and NFC support. Some features of the new model include improved screen for 3D viewing, improved CPU, longer battery life and micro SD card slot. A new C button allows you to control games with dual analogue controls. The deceives are said to be released some time in 2015 an Japan will be getting it first. Also announced was a new 3DS firmware update that grants you the ability to change the theme of your 3DS. Classic Mario and The Legend of Zelda : Link Between Worlds are the only confirmed themes so far.
