Steam To Have Retail Presence In GameStop, EB Games And GAME Locations

Valve has announced today that GameStop, EB Games, and GAME locations will have dedicated Steam sections in the fall. Gabe Newell, founder and managing director of Valve, says that this move is designed to facilitate sales of the Steam Machines and related peripherals. He said “Creating a 'store within a store' across North America and the UK is a significant win for getting the first generation of Steam Hardware products into gamers' hands,”. The Steam Machines, Steam Controller, and Steam Link device used for streaming will release on November 10. 

Why The Regular “New” 3DS Isn’t Available In The US

When Nintendo announced that the Ne 3DS XL would be coming to the United States, but not the smaller sized New 3DS, some wondered why that happened. Nintendo of America senior manager Damon Baker has given an explanation. "We're a different market," And now we have clear differentiation between those 3 systems. Before, there was a very limited difference between the 3DS and 3DS XL, other than size. It was the same resolution, same functionality, now, there's the 2DS, 3DS, and New 3DS XL, all of which have their own functionality and features." The different price points give it a clear message for consumers. The core audience, we weren't going to win with them on that decision. But we had to think about expanding the user base, we had to be able to market it and make it easy to pick up for consumers." While the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL feature the same technical specifications, the regular-sized model supports custom faceplates, meaning gamers in the US will miss out on that feature. Baker admitted that the faceplates are "super cool," but not enough of a reason to bring the model to the US.” What do you think of this reason ? Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Sell 3 Million In Opening Weekend

The recently released Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire together sold more than 3 million copies across Japan, the US, Australia and other territories during the weekend of its release November 21-23. 1.5 million copies were sold in Japan alone, with the other 1.5 million coming from the US and other territories. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have not yet been released in Europe. Sales of the handheld role-playing games are likely to grow further when they are released there November 21.
