Nintendo Reveals Its Black Friday 2018 Bundle Deals

Still deciding what to buy during this year’s Black Friday? Make sure to add some fun Nintendo items to the shopping list! Starting on Black Friday, Nintendo is offering deals on two awesome systems that would be great gifts for any person in your life – whether they are longtime video game fans or just getting started.

The first is a Nintendo Switch system with the hit Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game as a full game download at a suggested retail price of only $299.99. That’s basically like getting a free game (which is a $60 value) with your purchase of Nintendo Switch! Nintendo Announces Zelda Themed 2DS And Zelda Switch Explorers Edition For Black Friday 2017

With Black Friday quickly approaching, Nintendo is offering a variety of products to make holiday shopping a little bit easier and a lot more fun for everyone. These deals include two items that will make it easier for people of all ages and interests to get in on the fun and adventure of The Legend of Zelda series this holiday season.

The first is a Link green Nintendo 2DS system with bright orange buttons that comes pre-installed with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D game at a suggested retail price of only $79.99. • For fans of exploration: A special edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that includes a sound selection CD, a special metal game case and a 220-page hard-bound art book at a suggested retail price of $74.99. A Nintendo Switch Pro Controller themed around Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be available at a suggested retail price of $99.99 (both launch Dec. 1).

* The Expansion Pass, which is composed of The Master Trials and The Champion’s Ballad DLC, is not included as part of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Explorer’s Edition.

Nintendo Reveals 2 New 2DS XL Models

During the September 2017 Nintendo Direct video presentation, Nintendo revealed 2 new versions of the New 2DS XL. People who want to play Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games in style can pick up a Pokeball-themed Nintendo 2DS XL on November 3. If you want something a little more subdued, Nintendo is localizing Europe’s popular orange and white Nintendo 2DS XL on October 6. No prices were given for either version, but we expect they’ll be $149.99 like the existing models.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 2DS Bundle Coming Later This Month

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo 2DS bundle, which includes a red-and-white handheld with New Super Mario Bros. 2 preinstalled. It’ll cost you $79.99 and will be available starting on August 25. 

Nintendo Will Support The Nintendo 3DS Beyond 2018

In an interview with IGN, Nintendo Of America President Reggie Fils-Aime says that they plan to continue supporting the console beyond 2018.

“The way we continue to make Nintendo 3DS vibrant as a platform is first we continue to innovate from form factor standpoint. So the New 2DS XL is just the latest for us in having form factor innovation. We know colors are a key differentiator, consumers love the variety of different colors. And also the larger screen and the different form factor in the 2DS family, we think is a going to drive and continue to drive the 3DS platform.”

“We’re going to continue to bring new content, and that’s what’s going to keep this device vibrant and keep it going well into 2018 and beyond.”

“We say that it’s a home console that you take with you and play with anyone, anywhere, anytime. It really is meant to deliver that great home console performance, you just happen to be able to undock it and take it with you, which is a key innovation,” Fils-Aime said. “But look, in the end, what we want is we want the consumer to call it their device, right? Their preferred gaming device that they can play fantastic Zelda, Mario, third-party content, all of their favorite franchises brought to life on the platform. That’s what we want. And we’re greedy and we want Nintendo 3DS right alongside it.”

Nintendo Announces New 2DS XL

Nintendo has announced a New 2DS XL system will be released on July 28 for $149.99. The system has the same screen size as the New 3DS XL, although it's lighter and doesn’t have the 3D effect. It plays all 3DS/New 3DS and "most" DS titles and has built-in Amiibo functionality. Currently there is only one color option, the black and blue scheme seen below. It should be noted that the New 3DS XL sells for $199.99 and the regular 2DS sells for $79.99. 

Pokemon Sun & Moon 2DS Announced For Japan

A new Pokemon Sun & Moon themed Nintendo 2DS has been announced for Japan. The handheld console is light blue and features silhouettes of Pikachu and the 3 new starters, Rowlet, Litten and Popplio. It will be available on December 8 and will cost 9,800 yen. Check out the pictures below. 

Japan Getting 5 New 2DS Colors

Nintendo will soon be release 5 new Nintendo 2DS colors on September 15th in Japan. The 2DS will be available in black, red, blue, lavender and pink and will cost for 9,800 Yen. No word of if these 2DS’ will see a release outside of Japan.  

GameStop Has Refurbished 2DS’ For $50

GameStop has a variety of refurbished Nintendo 2DS models for the reasonable price of $50. There are ton of different colors you can choose from including the following:

The Nintendo 2DS Is Getting A Price Cut

Nintendo has just announced a price drop for the 2DS.The price of the 2DS was $99.99, now it’s being cut to $79.99. Nintendo will be pre-installing Mario Kart 7 on some systems, so make sure you check the box to see if the system has it. What do you think of the 2DS getting a price cut ? 

Nintendo Of America Has Opened An Official eBay Store

Nintendo of America has launched an official eBay store, where people can purchase new and or refurbished systems, games, and accessories directly from Nintendo. Some of the items featured include a Nintendo 2DS Mario Kart 7 bundle for $100 and a Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 bundle for $300. What do you think could be the purpose of Nintendo doing this ?

Nintendo Is Giving The 2DS A Price Cut And Including A Copy Of Mario Kart 7

Nintendo is dropping the price of the 2DS from $129 to $99. The price drop will start on August 30. Also, the 2DS will be bundled with a digital copy of Mario Kart 7.  Are you going to pick up a 2DS now ? What do you think of the 2DS ? 

Why The Regular “New” 3DS Isn’t Available In The US

When Nintendo announced that the Ne 3DS XL would be coming to the United States, but not the smaller sized New 3DS, some wondered why that happened. Nintendo of America senior manager Damon Baker has given an explanation. "We're a different market," And now we have clear differentiation between those 3 systems. Before, there was a very limited difference between the 3DS and 3DS XL, other than size. It was the same resolution, same functionality, now, there's the 2DS, 3DS, and New 3DS XL, all of which have their own functionality and features." The different price points give it a clear message for consumers. The core audience, we weren't going to win with them on that decision. But we had to think about expanding the user base, we had to be able to market it and make it easy to pick up for consumers." While the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL feature the same technical specifications, the regular-sized model supports custom faceplates, meaning gamers in the US will miss out on that feature. Baker admitted that the faceplates are "super cool," but not enough of a reason to bring the model to the US.” What do you think of this reason ? Nintendo Release New 2DS Model For Cheap

With the holiday shopping season soon upon us, Nintendo has announced two new, lower priced Nintendo 2DS models that will start showing up at retailers later this month. The new Crystal Red and Crystal Blue transparent systems will be available on November 21 for $100, as the standard 2DS sells for $130 price.

Get A Nintendo 2DS For Cheap At Wal Mart

If you're currently in the market for a Nintendo handheld, you can get the Nintendo 2DS at Walmart for $80. This offer only applies to the red version of the console which is normally priced at $100. This deal comes just in time of the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, a remake of the fan favorite Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire versions of the series. Also this is an opportunity for those who haven't played Super Smash Bros. for 3DS to go out and give it a shot.

Nintendo Seems to Be Doing Better On The Financial Side Of Things

Nintendo has reported its 6 month financial performance, and things are improving. At the half year mark, Nintendo is showing an operating loss of 215 million Yen ($1.99 million). Nintendo has almost made up its first quarter loss of 9.47 billion Yen ($87.7 million), posting operating income of  9.25 billion Yen ($85.7 million) for the second quarter. Nintendo’s net income for the quarter amounts to 24 billion Yen ($224.31 million). At this time last year, Nintendo’s 6 month net income was only 600 million Yen ($5.56 million) and its second quarter showed a loss of  8.24 billion Yen ($74.3 million). Super Smash Bros. for 3DS reached 3.22 million units worldwide as of September 30. This includes early shipments of copies outside of Japan. Nintendo sold 610,000 Wii U consoles in the quarter, boosting current year shipments to 1.12 million. As for the 3DS , Nintendo shipped 1.27 million units in the 3DS and 2DS, bringing the current year total to 2.09 million against a forecast of 12 million. 3DS software sits at 23.3 million units, with a target of 67 million by March 31, 2015.

New Transparent 2DS Models Announced For Europe

Nintendo has announced Transparent Red and Transparent Blue 2DS models that are set for release in Europe on November 7. The models will be available on their own from that date, or as part of a bundle with either Pokemon Omega Ruby or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire once the remakes release on November 28. The bundles will contain the corresponding color 2DS model along with a copy of one of the games pre installed on a 4GB memory card.

New Nintendo Hardware Bundles

Staring around September, Nintendo will offer a Wii U bundle thats includes a copy for Super Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land for $299 USD. An exclusive Walmart bundle will come with Nintendo Land and Mario Kart 8 for $299 USD. The final bundled that was announced is your choice of Sea Green, Electric Blue and Crimson Red 2DS with a download code for Mario Kart 7. This bundle should hit shelves early in October for $129 USD.
