eBay Countering Scalpers By Removing SNES Mini Listings

While Amazon UK have run out of SNES Mini consoles, eBay has plenty of systems and being sold at a ridiculous high price. Just like the NES Mini, the SNES Mini is currently the target of scalpers. When asked by Eurogamer, eBay has claimed that they’re trying to tackle the problem. According to a spokesperson, the auctioning website removes listings of any item that can’t be delivered within the next 30 days. As the SNES Mini doesn’t release until September, they are slowly removing any being offered. However, this is obviously only a short term solution. Thoughts ?
“We will remove listings for pre-release items and accessories if the release date of the item is more than 30 days away”

Facebook Launches eBay And Craigslist Competitor, Market Place

Facebook has launched Market Place, a new way for users to discover, buy and sell items with other people in their area. In the coming days users in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand who are over 18 years old will see a new shop icon in the bottom menu of the Facebook app. This will load a selection of photos of items that people in your general location are looking to sell. It also includes a search function, if you're looking for something in particular. Results can be filtered by location, category or price as well. If you see something that you like, Facebook will list the name and details of that product, a profile photo of the person selling it and a loose overview of where they live. Seems interesting that Facebook of all company wants to compete with the likes of eBay and Craigslist. We'll just have to see how this pans out for the company. Thoughts ?

Get A Second Chance To Pick Up Some Hard To Find Amiibo’s

If you missed out on picking up a few amiibo’s when they were first made available, your second chance is coming soon. Nintendo has stated that Marth, Ike, Meta Knight, and "a few other amiibo" will be once again hitting shelves. Of course as we know, being amiibo, there is a caveat. The figurines will be available in limited quantities "over the next few days," and Nintendo's being vague on the availability. According to the company's Facebook page, collectors need to visit their "local retail stores," or check out retailer websites for timing and availability information. This could lead to them selling out fast leaving the rest of us to resort to eBay. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that and there are plenty of amiibo to go around. What amiibo do you still need to get ? What do you think of amiibo’s ?

Sliver Mario Amiibo Coming Out This Month

Nintendo has announced that a Silver Mario will be headed to stores on May 29. He offers the same functionality as the Super Smash Bros., Mario Party 10, and gold Mario. You can use it with any of the titles in which Mario Amiibo figures are supported. The sliver Mario has been rumored since we found out that the Gold Mario amiibo was released. Its nice to see this Sliver Mario amiibo finally be released and that it’s not a retailer exclusive like Gold Mario. Which was exclusive to Wal Mart. The real question is will it be an eBay exclusive ?

Defective Amiibo Sells Big On eBay

There has been pictures of a defective Samus Aran Amiibo that has dual cannons instead of one. Well that Amibo just sold on eBay for $2500. Not bad for an item which was picked up at retail for $13. I’m sure there are others out there, so it will be interesting to see just how much they go for as well.
