Fortnite's No Build Mode Is Here To Stay

Epic Games revealed that Fortnite's No Build Feature is officially a permanent mode.  Of course, if you prefer the other build modes, they are all accessible. For players, the Fortnite Zero Build is merely another choice. Epic Games stated on their official website:

“Zero Build is a pure test of weapon, item, and traversal ability. Zero Build can be found in the Discover page as Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists. (Access the Discover page by clicking on the “CHANGE” button above “PLAY!” in the Lobby.) Without building, all players have the recharging Overshield as your first line of defense in Zero Build. Zip up Ascenders to access Blimps or use Mantling to get the high-ground over your opponents. Don’t forget to Sprint between cover on your way to a Victory Royale!”

Fortnite Fleet Force Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Bundle Coming In June

 Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is here, and if you’re playing on
the Nintendo Switch you can squad up and drop in with the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Fortnite Fleet Force Bundle. The Joy-Con Fortnite Fleet Force Bundle includes a uniquely designed blue Joy-Con (L) and a yellow Joy-Con (R) emblazoned with Fortnite banana imagery. It also includes 500 V-Bucks and a download code for an in-game Glider and Pickaxe. The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Fornite Fleet Force Bundle will be launching June 4, so stay tuned for more information to come.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Is Here

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is now live and with it comes animals, crafting, Lara Croft, Teen Titans Raven, and more. Wild animals now roam the areas and some are harmless like chickens, while some are predators such as wolves. There’s also a new crafting system in Season 6 which allows you to use the various animal parts you’ve hunted along with technology you’ve found to build new weapons. Those of you who purchase the Battle Pass can get new characters such as Lara Croft, Raven from Teen Titans and more. Check out the trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 down below.

Black Panther, Captain Marvel And Taskmaster Join Fortnite

 Epic Games and Marvel have teamed up once again to bring new heroes and villains to Fortnite. If you log into the game right now, you can purchase the limited-time Marvel Royalty & Warriors Pack for $24.99. The pack includes Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and Taskmaster skins. On top of the new characters, by completing the Wakanda Forever missions, you can unlock the Wakandan Salute emote, which you can see in action in the trailer. 

Fortnite Update 5.40 Adds New Guns And More

Epic has announced that Fortnite update 5.40 is adding the Suppressed Assault Rifle to the Battle Royale mode, while vaulting the Drum Gun. The update also adds Field Agent Rio to Save the World,  bug fixes, and more.

Fortnite Is Finally On Android With A Beta

Fortnite is finally available in beta form on Android devices starting with Samsung Galaxy users. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Tab S4 owners can play and get the Galaxy outfit.  The select devices currently supported are: Samsung Galaxy: S7 / S7 Edge , S8 / S8+, S9 / S9+, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3, Tab S4

The beta will become available to other Android devices in the coming days, and those looking to jump in as soon as possible can sign up here. The other devices the beta will be coming to are:

Fortnite On Android Won’t Be Available On The Google Play Store

If you’re a Fortnite fan and are excited play the game on your Android device, don't bother looking for it in the Google Play store. Epic Games has decided to release Fortnite as a direct download on Android systems. This means that players will have to download Fortnite through an installer directly off the game's official website sometime later this year.

Epic's CEO Tim Sweeney told GamesIndustry.biz that the studio was motivated by economic efficiency.

"The 30 percent store tax is a high cost in a world where game developers' 70 percent must cover all the cost of developing, operating, and supporting their games," Sweeney said. "There's a rationale for this on console where there's enormous investment in hardware, often sold below cost, and marketing campaigns in broad partnership with publishers. But on open platforms, 30 percent is disproportionate to the cost of the services these stores perform."

Thoughts ? I don’t understand why they would do this. Most people won’y know how to download it to there phone. Also, they’d probably get way more casual players to download the game if it was on the Google Play store.  

Fortnite Adds Gyro/Motion Controls To Nintendo Switch Version

Epic Games has announced the addition of gyro/motion controls to Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch in the latest update. Splatoon 2 fans should now feel right at home!

• Gyro/motion controls have been added to the Nintendo Switch. Adjust these options in the Settings menu.

Fortnite Battle Royale Season 5 Is Here

Fortnite Battle Royale season 5 is here. The announcement trailer and patch notes emphasize the "worlds collide" tagline, drawing on Fortnite's recent weird crossovers with the real world. The season update brings a new vehicle, the all-terrain kart, to Battle Royale mode. The kart has room for four players, grants a speed boost after drifting, and has a roof that acts as a bounce pad.

Portals called Rifts also come to Battle Royale. Walking or driving through a Rift will send you high into the sky, as Twitter user MetalRose demonstrates. A new desert biome has been added to the Battle Royale map, along with new locations Paradise Palms and Lazy Links. For full patch notes, head here.

Fortnite Playground Practice Mode Coming Soon, Season 5 Start Date Announced

Epic has announced Fortnite's v4.5 update will introduce the Playground limited-time practice mode.The update also includes map markers for friendly units, dual pistols, Blockbuster event part 4, the seasonal fireworks launcher, and more. Epic also announced that Season 5 is coming on July 12 at 4 a.m. EDT, and there's a double XP promo happening this weekend.

Nintendo Seems To Push Update For Fortnite On The Switch eShop

Looks like more evidence has arrived for Fortnite appearing on the Nintendo Switch. Twitter user SciresM has noticed that Nintendo has pushed through an update for the title on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The company previously uploaded the Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga remake before it was announced, so this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

Epic Games Providing $100 Million In Fortnite Prize Money

The company behind the Fortnite phenomenon, Epic Games, has announced that it is providing $100 million in esports prizes for the 2018-19 season. Based on Epic's statement, the money is going to fund multiple prize pools for competitive play. No details beyond that have been announced.

Infinity War/Fortnite Mashup Event Ends Tomorrow

If you have wanted to grab the Infinity Gauntlet for yourself and be the mad titan Thanos, you only have until tomorrow, Epic has announced. The Infinity War/Fortnite mashup was always advertised as a limited time event, but given the abrupt nature of it, many are surprised how much fun the match up was.

Thanos Has Already Been Nerfed In Fortnite Event

The Infinity Gauntlet Thanos event in Fortnite hasn’t been live for long, and Epic is already fixing power problems they see with the mad titan.

In a post on the Fortnite subreddit, Epic confirmed a few changes for Thanos. 

• Shield cap decreased from 300 to 200.
• Max Health increased from 700 to 800.
• Laser damage vs. players decreased from 15 to 12.

The Infinity War/Fortnite mashup is time-limited, so if you want to play as Thanos, you better get to it.

Thanos Comes To Fortnite For Limited Time Infinity Gauntlet Event

Starting on May 8, Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War is coming to Fortnite in a limited-time crossover event where you could wield the Infinity Gauntlet. The event plays out like normal, the difference being the Infinity Gauntlet with all the Infinity Stones. Find it in the map and it’s yours. The crossover is available for free across all platforms, but there are no further details such as when it ends at this time. According to Entertainment Weekly, the whole endeavor came about due to the movie's directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, being fans of the game.

"Over the past few months, while we were editing Infinity War, we'd take breaks to on and get in a few games," said Joe Russo. "And then we started thinking, 'How cool would it be to have some kind of Avengers-Fortnite mashup."

Fortnite 50v50 Is Back For The Weekend

Epic has announced that they are bringing back an improved version of 50v50 limited-time game mode, as well as encore missions and neon weapons for Save the World, and more. The changes include a double XP weekend starting today (Thursday, April 19) until Sunday, April 22, a reversal of the peeking feature back to what it used to be before 3.5, and the addition of a LMG with 100 rounds of medium ammo. Latest Fortnite Update Adds Vending Machines And More

The Fortnite version 3.4 update adds vending machines all throughout the island in the Battle Royale Mode. Each of which offers 3 random deals on items of varying rarity players can purchase with one of the three materials (wood, stone, and metal). Items will cost between 100 and 500 materials, depends on the rarity, and will cycle at regular intervals. If you'd like these machines to cycle a little faster, you can wack 'em with your pickaxe.

Also, 3.4 finally adds first-shot accuracy for many weapons, including submachine guns, pistols, assault rifles, revolvers, and hand cannons. If a weapon hasn't been fired for a little while, its first shot will be 100 % accurate. For more on the date check out the Fortnite official blog. 

Fortnite For Mobile Now Available On Apple iOS Devices

Epic Games has announced on their Twitter that Fortnite for mobile is now live and free for everyone on Apple products. Despite it being a port for smartphones, Fortnite mobile, which you can download here, contains the same features it does on PC and consoles. Players can even log in to their accounts and carry over their progress, characters, and rewards between platforms. Users must have iOS 11 and an iPhone 6S and up to play it. For tablets, only the iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, 2018 and Pro models can run the game.

Fortnite Version 3.3 Brings Loot Llamas, Remote Explosives And More

Here’s whats new in Fortnite version 3.3

Battle Royale

• Supply Llama – Only three of these magical beasts will drop in random locations per game and they will contain 500 pieces of wood, stone, and metal, 10 stacks of each ammo type, and 3 traps and consumables.
• Remote Explosives – A brand new, rare item that will take out structures in one blow and can be found in Supply Llamas, chests, floor loot, and supply drops.
• Smoke Grenades – These items have been vaulted until further notice.
• Blitz – Starting on March 19, this new limited-time mode decreases the time of storms while increasing loot drop rates and resource harvests, resulting in quick-paced matches that last around 15 minutes.

Save The World

• Luck of the Storm – The next chapter of the Spring it On event tasks players with uncovering treacherous treasures, tracking mythical creatures, and enduring springtime storms.
• New heroes – Quest rewards include an Epic Leprechaun Survivor as well as a choice between the legendary Luck Demolisher Wildcat, Highland Warrior Wildcat, and Battle Hound Jonesy heroes.
