ICYMI: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Now Releasing In April

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed by Respawn Entertainment, but hopefully the wait won't be too long. The game will now debut on April 28 rather than March 17, as originally planned.

According to a tweet (which you can see below) from Respawn, the game's content is finished, and the company is now only focused on addressing problems, guaranteeing stability, and further perfecting the user experience. Since the team is so dedicated, it will take an additional six weeks to ensure that Survivor runs as smoothly as butter. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The New Progression System For Battlefront II

EA and DICE have detailed the changes being made to Star Wars: Battlefront II's progression system after the games virtual currency raised some eyebrows when the game launched last year. Progression is now linear, meaning that star cards and all gameplay-impacting items are now earned as set rewards for leveling up. Experience points are doled out for characters, classes, and ships that give you skill points at level ups to unlock or upgrade star cards. Loot boxes in the Battlefront II no longer contain star cards at all and can only be earned through daily login bonuses, milestones, and timed challenges. Cosmetic items like emotes and victory poses can still be gotten through crates, but anything gameplay-related is off the table. Starting next month cosmetic outfits can be purchased through in-game credits or the virtual currency crystals. The outfits are for both the troopers and the heroes. The new progression system launches March 21.

Specifically in regard to Respawn's already announced Star Wars game, Jorgensen said, while EA has "not announced our products for fiscal (year 2020) yet," Respawn's title "most likely will drop in Fiscal 20 versus another [Star Wars] Battlefront." Fiscal Year 2020 would not happen until April 1, 2019, with an end on March 31, 2020. That fiscal year would be the timeframe EA is projecting, though not necessarily defining as exactly when Respawn's Star Wars title may be released.
